Advice From the World’s Oldest Person

On Sunday, Besse Cooper turned 116 years-old, making her the oldest person living on record – and she looks darn good, great even.  Heck, the woman is 116!  She was born in 1896 in Sullivan, Tenn according to the Guiness Book of World Records.  It’s amazing to think about all that happened in the world and in our country during her lifetime – she has lived through 11 presidents!  Boy, would I like to sit through a history class she was teaching.  And that’s actually what she did, she was a teacher!  Of course that was a lifetime ago, literally (well for a lot of people).

Her secret to achieving 116 years of life?  “I mind my own business and I don’t eat junk food.”

Here is a youtube clip of her when she was almost 115:

Happy 116th birthday Besse!!!!!!
